A funeral is a commemoration and celebration of a life, and how you choose to do so is a very personal thing indeed. For this reason, we make ourselves as flexible as possible to provide any extra special touches that might contribute to a beautiful remembrance.
A piper can be arranged to play at a church, cemetery or crematorium and, if required, at the address where the cortege/procession is commencing from.
Occasionally, family members will feel uplifted by the release of balloons with personalised messages at the end of the funeral service.
Comfort can be found in the symbolic gesture of releasing doves as part of the funeral service, either at the graveside or in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium.
The playing of the Last Post and Reveille by a bugler is a poignant and moving mark of respect for an ex service/military personnel funeral service.
Working with local firm Jonathan’s Fireworks we are able to arrange a magnificent way to remember your loved one, with either a small portion or the full amount of ashes incorporated within individual rockets, or even a full display.
Horse drawn hearse
Horse Drawn Carriages are very popular again and add a magnificent addition to the funeral procession. Choices of black or white horses are available.
For motorcycle enthusiasts a motorcycle hearse can be a fitting tribute and a very special and unique way for your loved one to make their final journey. We have an excellent working relationship with Motorcycle Funerals Ltd who offers a variety of beautifully presented motorbikes with a sidecar hearse.
If you wish, we will provide members of staff to record the names of mourners attending the funeral as part of our comprehensive service.
Family pall bearers
Many families find great comfort in having the honour of carrying their loved one into the church or crematorium and we are happy to offer help and support to facilitate this request.
A personal song performed by an experienced soloist can be a meaningful time of reflection during the funeral and we have a list of contacts for you to choose from, if you think this would be a soothing addition to the service.
