Stephanie Devall returned from her third trip to Brazil with Mission Direct a Christian Charity supporting people in the poorest parts of the world. Stephanie along with teams from the UK have been helping to build houses for people living in the favelas (slums) in Campo Largo, Brazil. Stephanie will be going back to Brazil for two months in October and November 2016 for her fourth volunteer visit. ” I am privileged to have this opportunity to help some of the poorest and marginalised of people who have inspired me and touched my heart, it is such a joy to be able to give a little bit back to those throughout the world who are less fortunate than ourselves and be reminded of how blessed and provided for we are in the UK”. Stephanie has been fundraising for the project with fantastic support from friends and local businesses and has seen first hand how the money raised is being spent and how the lives of some of those living in extreme poverty has been transformed.Find out more at www.missiondirect.org/brazil. Stephanie is also involved with a local church charity called the ‘Boomerang Project’ which feeds, cares and supports those living below the poverty line and the homeless in Nuneaton and Bedworth. She will announce news of some fundraising events to support the project in the near future.
